The Vietnam War, also known as the Second Indochina War, and also known in Vietnam as Resistance War Against America or simply the American War. I was a Cold War-era proxy war that occurred in Vietnam between commy North Vietnam and clepto-capitalist South Vietnam. Later Cambodia and Laos were cought up in it.
OK, the use of the A-bomb would provoke the USA and can't be used.
If Operation Linebacker was stronger and Hanoi regularly bombed. Australia and Thailand fought better and with more gusto than America, but America had all the kit.
The American press only reported pro-Viet Cong and anti-S. Vietnam stuff after the mid 1960s, unlike in the UK and Ireland which allowed for some of the opposite points of view. American students were easily lead in to doing the opposite to what was normal, which included joining the Viet Cong and rioting a lot. The brats were not true reds and would have rioted all the same for capitalism if the USA had been red, which it was not.
There should have been a war run like the Korean war and the permanent division of the nation of Vietnam, like we now have in Korea.
