The Allied Military Government in Berlin (1955-1990) was a period when the Allied Military Government of Germany continued to be in force in the city of Berlin, despite the fact that military occupation had ended in both {{
Flag of West Germany - Bundesflagge West Germany|name|var=}} and East Germany in 1955. Berlin became a part of the Federal Republic of Germany on October 3, 1990 with the reunification of Germany. Formal Allied control was finally disbanded on May 15, 1991.
