Overview[]

Weser Flugzeugbau assembled it's Junkers Ju 87 "Stuka" dive bombers at the airport from January 1940 until early-1944. After then it also assembled Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter planes in the semi-bult main hall and hangars #3 to #7 of the new terminal This terminal was cunningly supplied by a both a railway and road trucks via a connecting underground tunnel.

It served a base of the U.S. military (USAAF and then USAF) from 1945 to 1993.
