The device[]
The lightweight (145 kg) multimode, coherent, pulse-Doppler I band airborne Blue Vixen Radar system was developed from the previous Ferranti Blue Fox Radar system and designed for use on the British Aerospace Sea Harrier FA2. It was a class of British I-band (PRF-low, medium and high) airborne radar designed and built for the Royal Navy by Ferranti Defence Systems (later, GEC-Marconi), Edinburgh, Scotland. It replaced the earler Ferranti Blue Fox Radar.
