History[]
In 1956 British Sea Venoms and Venoms, took part in the 1956 Suez War (AKA the Suez Crisis) which began on 31 October. French Navy Aquilons took part in counter-insurgency operations in Algeria between 1957 and 1961. Venoms also fought in the Malayan Emergency and the Aden Emergency.
It was developed from the de Havilland Vampire and in to the de Havilland Sea Venom\Aquilon. Switzerland used them up to 1983.
