Risk's new territories[]
The game was criticised for missing off the Philippines, New Zealand, Cuba and Hawaii; Afghanistan is not in Afghanistan territory and the continental USA only has 2 territories.
Antarctica, the Caribbean, New Zealand, and the Philippines are not represented. The 1970 French edition [1] and English 1963 edition did show the Philippines on the map, but as part of Indonesia, not an independent playable territory.

Mongolia is spit in to:
- Mongolia
- N.E. Asia
Both halves of Australia are split in to:
- Western Australia
- Northern Australia
- Southern Australia
- Tasmania
Southern Africa and West Africa are split in to:
- West Africa
- Southern Africa
- Zambezi
- South East Africa
New Zealand (Australia), Hawaii (N. America), Cuba* (N. America), Fiji + New Caledonia + Vanuatu as 'Pacific Islands Territory' (Australia) and The Philippines* (Australia) are added to the map.
Afghanistan is renamed Central Asia.
Rename Australia region to Oceania.
Rename China to China and the Himalayas.
Rename Indonesia region to West Indonesia.
North Sudan moves from East Africa region to Egypt region.
Move the Philippines from Australia to Asia.
Add Socotra Island to Middle East region.
* = They some times appear lumped in with Central America and Indonesia respectively on some maps.
