Overview[]
Jersey is a small British Crown Dependency (BCD) near the coast of France. Being an island, it's a popular site for tourists and UK residents alike as a holiday spot.
Jersey's population is a staggering 177,762 people, surpassing cities such as York and Blackpool.
It's most known for it's walking paths, cycling trails and high quality spas.
There a a few low rise residential blocks and short tower blocks in St. Helier, but the majority of housing is older and under 5 stories tall.
12 people were injured and 3 died after a large accidental exploitation at the Haut du Mont low rise housing complex on Pier Road, St. Helier on December 11, 2022.
