István Gurszky (? -1969) was a librarian, poet, translator, journalist in Szeged. He worked as a librarian at the Russian institute of the University of Szeged, and his poems and publicists regularly appeared in the Regional newspaper of Southern Hungary and in the Tisza Region. Translated works by Russian, Ukrainian, Belorussian and Tatar writers into Hungarian. On the day of the outbreak of the 1956 Revolution , Rohanunk 's poem appeared on the title page. He was sentenced to 8 years' imprisonment on charges of "active engagement in overthrowing the state order of the People's Republic" during his revolution in the Revolution.
