The MC 51SD is a British-developed battle carbine, designed for usage by British special forces.

It features an integrated "Schalldämpfer" (literally "Sound Suppressor") as a barrel, which of its self is similar to that of an HK MP5SD. Despite of a large sound suppressor, the firearm is still considerately loud due to it's shared cartridge with the HK G3, chambered in 7.62x54mm.

Variants

MC 51 Original production model chambered in 7.62x51mm, developed from the HK G 3 A3 / A4. MC 51 B Aftermarket production/conversion model chambered in 7.62x51mm. Essentially a belt-fed variation of the original. Resembles an HK 21E. MC 51 K Original compact production model chambered in 7.62x51mm. Utilizes an overall design taken from the HK MP 5 K. MC 51 SD Original suppressed production model chambered in 7.62x51mm. Utilizes a sound suppressor design taken from the HK MP 5 SD1. MC 51 T Aftermarket production model that features modernizations, such as picatinny rail systems. Chambered in 7.62x51mm.
