The approach flight (the flight in to the runway) is considered one of the most dangerous in the world. The remains of the old base, the remains of an old radio set, the remains of an old truck, barbed wire fences and loads of steel oil barrels rot near by. There is an issue with the former base being polluted and 70lb of dynamite are still rumoured to be buried at the former base.
