Our Timeline or OTL, refers, in the Alternative History fiction genre, to events, situations and figures that exist in the history we know and live in, contrasted to the historical events, situations, organisations and people of an Alternate Timeline (ATL), in which have been changes to these historical facts have occurred.
- Example- if JFK is shot dead as in reality it's OTL, but if he was not it's ATL.
