Former railway stations
Kinloss station opened in August 1858.It was moved by 300 yards in 1860, but was moved back again in 1862. The line closed at the end of January 1869. Occasional local goods trains ran until 1880. Some freight traffic continued to Burghead, most of which were largely maltings for a Burghead distillery until 1992, when the line was closed down and 'mothballed'. The RAF base was gradually built over it beyond the derelict junction and the 1 now abandoned track to Burghead. A militarily usage halt and freight siding was also built during World War 2, but were soon removed after peace was declared in 1945.
