Sándor Koczkás (Orosháza, 11 January 1924 - Budapest, 19 September 2000) József Attila Prize winner (1979) is a Hungarian literary historian and critic.

From 1942 to 1946 he was a student of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Szeged. He graduated from ELTE in Hungary in 1950. Between 1948 and 1950 he was a demonstrator between the Faculty of Humanities of the 20th Century Hungarian Literature Department, between 1950-1951, between 1951-1953, assistant lecturer, between 1954-1974, assistant lecturer from 1974.

On October 23, 1956, at the Faculty of Humanities, he read the 14-point demands of the university party committee and became a member of the delegation who protested at the Politburo Committee against the ban on the demonstration.

1956 October 26 discussed the Undergraduate Student Revolutionary Committee leaders representing the word (Sandor Gaspar, Miklos Somogyi and Jeno Fock). They agreed to establish a joint committee of representatives of the university students and the word. Their announcement with the Writers' Association was communicated by Népszava.

Between 1959 and 1962 he led the critical section of Life and Literature.

Between 1975-1981 was the Hungarian Writers' Association criticized trade department secretary, president from 1981-1986, from 1988-1992 Secretary General.

The focus of his research was Endre Ady, György Bálint and Miklós Radnóti's oeuvre. Ady Endre's poems published a critical edition of poems.
