Overview[]
One of the test reactors at the Vinča Nuclear Institute's/Boris Kidrič Institute's 1958 had reactor a criticality accident on 15 October 1958.
6 workers were heavily irradiated by a ozone cloud, killing one and injuring 5. The ozone cloud was probably not contained and escaped. It did not officially have a INES rating, but probably was a Level 4 INES Scale event.
