The theory[]

It states that the main way a dictator can stay in power for decades, if not to there death of old age, is by brainwashing, tricking, bribing or intimidating people in to compliance with the regime. If the majority of a country's populace will uncritically follow the government line with out actually being part of the ruling faction, then the ruling faction a de facto already won!

Sycophants and toadies who put factional loyalty above factual accuracy will never tell the leader of bad news leading to the leader making bad decisions.

Mao Zedong's rule in China[]

The people's middles adoration of Mao Zedong and the subsequent personality cult lead to the slave like following through both the failed Chinese Great Leap Forward and self-destructive Chinese Cultural Revolution killed tens of millions of Chinese. China was finally saved when Mao died and then later by economic reforms that were started by Deng Xiaoping.

Pol Pot's rule in Kampuchea[]

Pol Pot was a crony of Mao Zedong and a xenophobic, racist luddite. Nearly every one agreed with Kampuchea's Year Zero (except for when they were the one it effected by it). Intellectuals, Vietnamese, Cham, Muslims and educated people were slaughtered. Many towns and cities were depopulated and sometimes partly destroyed. The remaining people were enslaved as agrarian peasants. Vietnam was so horrified and frightened by in that they invaded and installed there own, more sensible, puppet regime. Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge thugs continued to fight on in remote rural arias untill they mostly died of old age and ill health. About 2,000,000 (24.5%) of the Cambodian population was genocide by Pol Pot and his henchmen.

N. Korea[]

The Kim family have ruled over N. Korea with a mixture of bribes, black mail, gratitude, respect and fear. By 1991 virtually every one was a hopelessly brainwashed robot that was programmed to obey at all costs even in 2 horrific famines. Kim Il-Sung (15 April 1912–8 July 1994) led North Korea through 1950–1953 Korean War and onwards until his death in 1994. Since Kim Il-Sung's death the DPRK has become a war wacky death-hole.

The Jonestown massacre cult incident[]

The Jonestown massacre cult incident was when a 900 brainwashed people died when the charismatic and paranoid preacher, Jim Jones, ordered the mass murder-suicide of members of his Peoples Temple cult at the isolated Jonestown agricultural commune in rural Guyana.

Vladimir Putin's Russia[]

President Putin was a great leader untill about 2020 when he went in to mental decline. The genuine gratitude of the Russian people had turned in to a blind personality cult by 2020. The Russian public then supported the costly war in Ukraine. Putin was out of touch with reality and was subsequently betrayed by several of his cronies. A pointless feud between Sergei Shoigu, Yevgeny Prigozhin and General Valery Gerasimov lead to an insurrection, Shoigu's demotion and Prigozhin's death. Putin has treated the Russian public like mushrooms, feeding them shit and keeping them in the dark all the time. The people don't really know just how much they did not know, since they simply did not know anything at all except for Putin's propaganda!
